Sup guys. Have nothing to do at work, so I wanna play a little game. Going to the track Friday and wanna see how close we can guess the 1/8 mile time. Running a 94 mustang gt 5.0 with bbk cold air,373, gears,off road h pipe, and sct chip. Last time I ran it was 10.8 at like 83 mph. When I ran last I did not have the h pipe or the chip. Got a mustang key chain for the winner. And I will post a pic of the time slip. good luck.

 

you must have spun to half track ... 10.8 is slow .... 83 is fast !!! you should be threatening 9 flat

 

U know I thougt the same thing. I thougt I would get a better time. With a 5.0 I thought I would be out of the 10s. But I am not 100% sure about the mph.sure I am off. But I do have a auto trans as well. I did not spin much at all. Off the line a little bit. But it catches pretty quick. Me and my dad both took it down the track. He had 0.008 RT and I THINK he ran 10.7 or .6. (Been a few weeks back)

 

My buddy at work guessed 9.2. I am sure that's way off he did put his guess out there.

 

practice will do wonders .. it`s been 15 years since i had my 460 Tbird but if i ammember correctly it would do 8.2 at about 83 mph on motor and 7.5 at 91 on the bottle .. you will get faster as you go whether you add to the car or not ..

 

How aggressive of a tune? 9.7 is my guess. Is this an average of a few runs or closest to a single pass?

 

I will be running the "race" tune. Witch really means my shift ponts change to 5800 instead of 52. And pushin a little more gas. But other than that I guess that's it. But I will say 9.7 is a good guess. That's around what I said.

 

perhaps i`m a bit too optimistic .. i remember a factory stock 440 six pac super bee running 9.35 a few hunnert years ago .. a buddy at work runs 9 flat in his slightly modded 05 .. you will get 9.5 someday

 

That's my bottom line. I will not rest untill I can run a 9.5
