Does anyone know what this front fender emblem on my 1996 GT says/means? I can't find it anywhere.

Hard to read, but doesn't seem to say 4.6 like a normal emblem.

That makes sense, but am I crazy? It looks to me like there's an extra symbol. As if it were, say, 4.6 17 or 4.6 IF. Four symbols and a period after GT instead of three. I only have that terrible blown up photo right now, and I can't get a better one for a while, sorry. But am I imagining the extra bit? Or is there maybe an emblem with four symbols after the GT" Don't strain yourself trying to figure it out! I'ma Mustang newbie who is just curious. Thanks!
