09 horseshoe fender emblem removal
I tried the dental floss trick...didn't work out too well for me. Maybe I was using the wrong gauge!!!??? LOL. Instead, I used a blow dryer to warm up the adhesive to the point where it was really loose and I used a flat screwdriver (yes I know I'm crazy) and lightly, and I mean lightly dig behind the emblem and got them off with very ease and thank God no scratches.
Just curious, why do you want to get rid of them? The horseshoe emblem is a limited edition 45th anniversary badging - you're unlikely to ever see them again so keep them on the car. Someone at work has one and I thought it was kind of cool. The horseshoe goes well with the Mustang.
That horseshoe is hideous and looks like it belongs on a belt buckle. Good luck getting it off.
Dental floss and a hairdryer worked for me. It took patience and quite a few broken strands, but my GT emblems came off damage free. The pony package tri-bars look much better, IMO.

The holes can be covered up w/ a better looking emblem. Heck the holes themselves would look better than that horseshoe. The only things that would look worse than that emblem would be those stupid bullet stickers, or a NOS decal.
