ENGINE PROBLEMS NEED HELP

Alright right now my current engine had a problem and I can't figure it out. Idk if its something simple or something major. Whenever I slow down to say go around a corner and then give it gas it just falls on its face like its going to die and then I have to feather the pedal to get it going again. I have no clue what's wrong and I'm hoping you guys can help me out.

Check the battery connections, had a similar problem with my surburban, then it started doing that whenever I hit a bump. Turned out the wires for the battery terminals were loose.
Could also be the fuel pump, any CEL?

While we're on the subject, what kind of fuel pump will I need to get for the new engine?

Ok when it comes to mods like this it is important to consider everything if one thing is off you may actually lose power and im talking about exhaust pipe size what type of headers how what size injectors what size fuel pump fuel rails intake manifold bottom end cause the stock one is only safe at 400 to 440 depending on how its been treated now how to get that power to the ground ? Rear end drive shaft and trans if you want reliability you have to spend money horsepower = money and getting it to the ground even more

When we swapped my fuel pump we found out my factory in tank fuel lines had holes in them so we replaced them with new ones and it works fine now!

If using an aftermarket air cleaner could be that your MAF sensor got dirty that would maybe do it , kinda sounds like what I went through a while back.
