Engine Firing Problem
Engine Firing Problem
i have a 01 4.6 gt that is running like crap. i have put new plugs in it and new air and fuel filter. i gapped the plugs as well, but it still is not firing correctly. it feels like one of the cylinders is missing i would say 2 or 3 times a minute but i can only feel it in lower RPM's, it may just be covered up in the higher RPM range though. Also the car has 67,000 miles on it. Any suggestions on this problem? Thanks in advance.
First off, make sure all of your coil packs are plugged in (ya know the black boxes on top of the spark plug). You may have one going bad so if you can get a code scanner somehow on it, it might tell you which one, especially if theres a check engine light.

If I had a plug not firing on the S-10 I had, the CEL light would flash.
Interesting, I didnt know anyone had made an aftermarket replacement coil on plug for the 99+ cars. I knew they made for the 96-98 with the dual coil packs, but these look kinda cool.
