Picked up a new torque converter I ordered last Tuesday. If the specs are correct, it's a bit looser than the OEM. Factory is about 1600-1800 stall speed, this one 1900-2300.

Transmission is in place. Just needs fluid and tightening some bolts ^ nuts of the other components. Lining up the rear exhaust pipes will be a PITA.

Transmission is installed. Only thing left to do before fillig it up & testing if it works is to flush the oil cooler. I can hardly wait!

Update!
I cleaned the oil cooler with some throttle body cleaner and blew it dry with a vacuum cleaner. Filled it up and it works!
Next would be taking the car to a road test.

Ran with an issue with the bbk crank pulley. It's missalingned ant the belt jumped a track and was damaged. Guess I put the pulley backwards? I already got a replacement belt.

The belt issue is fixed. As I suspected, the crank pulley was installed backwards. Also a little longer belt was needed. Continental Part #4060889. It had a Gates #5060885 with the stock setup.

Update!
Took the car out for a spin arround town. The transmission shifts great! And the right caliper is sticking Oh well, you can't win them all.

The serpentine belt was still having issues with the underdrive pulleys. I had to flip the crank pulley again and replace the alternator with a smaller pulley and idler with a larger one. I had an old 88.2' belt and that sorted it out. I Should've left it stock lol.

It's a love/hate relationship
The bloody belt thing is driving me crazy. And the a/c is not working. I thought it needed a recharge. Nope! Thing's full to the gills.

Haven't done anything to the car. I don't seem to find the energy or desire to do anything to it lately. We'll see if I do later on.

I haven't touched the bloody car since that last post. The weather here has been pretty rainy these past weeks. Guess I'll wait 'till the weekend to see if I do something to it.
