Thanks.

Won't be moving till at least June? Whenever school ends. Ill be here and will be working in St. Paul. My dad says the cobra is his till I can pay for it. But I don't see how he is going to get 5 cars to Atlanta with basically 2 drivers as my brother wouldn't be able to complete the long drive.
Still not sure how I made that drive.

Think I found out why the car would not start sometimes. Stretched clutch cable? Or it just needs adjusting. Have to almost push the clutch thru the floor to start it

I don't know how much these cables can stretch.. I would bet more on the adjusting. Installing an MM adjustable kit on Pete's car wasn't that hard IIRC.

I'm pretty sure the cable is good just need to adjust it but that involves me pulling it out the garage but with it being so cold out it might be a month till I get around to doing it

On a side note my parents are helping me look for places to rent and my dad says I have to get a place with a garage so the cobra will be safe.
Not sure if he just joking or being serious

Nice, did adjusting the cable fix it? I've been tempted to take it for a drive this week, I took it out of the garage on Tuesday to clean the garage a bit.

After getting the car out for a drive I got reminded how stiff the suspension is, and made me decide I want to do a whole lot of suspension stuff now do its out of the way if a power adder comes done the road.

And get a set of wide rims with fat tires.

Only problem I think I have is, my exhaust runs up right next to the wheels which I don't feel is right as it is bent in slightly. It's difficult to explain so pictures first thing tomorrow

Long time but I finally got the car out and got some pictures

I'm not even running wide tires just some 245s
It doesn't seem like it is rubbing but is this how the exhaust really runs? It's like this on both sides.
I'm just curious so if I ever go thru and get fat tires I want to make sure they will fit.

Ran into a problem with the cobra today

Kinda thought the clutch was slipping but it was weird, I'd give it some gas and rather than the rpms rising it kinda just sputters and slowly increased speed. Then I though well maybe the air filter is bad and it's not getting enough air. Next thing I know a big cloud of black smoke comes out of the exhaust. At this point I'm thinking I blew my cats out, not sure if this is what it like or not this is just how I think it would happen.

Have my house in sight, seen white smoke and a lot of grinding noises, sounded like a big semi trailer. Pull into my house while dad and the realtor standing there talking about the open house we just had, reason I was out anyways. Pop the hood all kinda of white smoke coming out. Dad tells me it's steam and I head inside.

Let it cool down a little then go look at the car. Plenty of coolant in it, we think water pump failed. Does this seem about right?

Certainly possible. Is it locked up?

Im not sure if that would cause that black smoke though, I really dont think it would.

But the steam and grinding would make me think the water pump is locked up.

My dad was thinking either a seal blew or it locked up.

It's with our mechanic at the moment.

Well guys,

I have found a place and will be staying in minnesota for at least 1-5 years, and will be working for my father full time, running it as he will mainly be in Georgia, as a mechanical engineer while going to school to become an architect.
The cobra is being transferred over to me within the month and I move into my own place the 1st.
Only realist plans I have for the next year with the car is at least get the side skirts installed and painted and get the spoiler painted.

On a side note I found a complete set of terminator rims. But will have to pass this time.
