Cylinder misfire

K doin this for my bro. Hes got an 03 v6 with bout 110k miles on it. Its been idling hard and shaking the car in the process. Got it diagnosed at advance auto parts and the code that came up read misfire in cylinder 6. We replaced all wires, and spark plugs and its still rockin. Please help us out with any advice, he leaves up to austin for college friday but he doesnt wanna risk breakin down halfway. Any help would be great! Thanks!

To properly diagnose the problem for a cylinder misfire there are a few steps...compression test/fuel pressure test//exhaust restriction test/air intake inspection/ coil resistance or stress test... You did eliminate the common suspects,..From the description you've given it does sound like it's a common coil pack problem...

I got a 02 gt and I had the same problem. Cylinder 1 misfire,I went to pep boys and got another coil pack, changed it and it runs fine now. I feel kind of bad putting a pep boys coil pack on my car but its been running good since and it's a temporary fix until I can afford a good set of coil packs. It cost me around 40 bucks I believe.
