I just bought a 1994 Mustang GT (my first Mustang BTW, not my 2005 but it will do) and it has power seats. They worked fine, but now they are not moving. I was wondering if maybe this was a burnt fuse, but I have no idea which fuse would be the one for the power seats? I'm totally new to all this so bare with me.

Now, the second questions: How do i find out if the car ever had keyless entry? It would be nice to get a FOB and program it but I have no idea if the car ever had keyless entry.

Thanks.

I believe a dealship will have to program the FOB for you. You may find some for sale on ebay. Get that and take to a dealer.

As far as the fuses, im not sure which one it is. There are 2 fuse panels, one under the hood, drivers side beisde the battery. Also the other is under the dash on the drivers side. You'll have to almost lay down on your back in teh floor board and look up at it. Its tricky. At that point, you are just going to have to pull each one and check for a blown one.

Here is the remote procedure...

94 models have a"program plug" in the left side (driver) trunk area. It is necessary to remove the left side trunk trim panel to access, once the panel is removed you will find a 2 pin gray connector that is normally attached to one of the trunk supports.

To program the remote first turn the ignition on, then short the two pins on the connector in the trunk together briefly, you will find that the locks will cycle to lock and back to unlock. Then just push any button on the remote to program the locks. The locks will cycle to verify programming. jsut turn off the ignition and reassemble the trunk panels and you are done!

Regarding the power seat, the most common concern was the tracks would get corroded combined with the lack of use of the power seat. Sometimes lubing the tracks and working the seat would free them up. You can check for power at fuse #20 (20 amp) in the underhood fuse panel.

Thanks Matt, that was some nice info. But, I still need some hand holding. I took a picture of the trunk, let me know if I'm even close to the plug.

1. Seems like the tailight connection
2. Fuel pump shut off
3. Trunk light?

I still can't find the fuse for the power seats, I'll take a pic of the box. Also would it be the same fuse as the cigarette lighter, because that's not working either.

I think it is number 3 as I remember, it is an open connector with nothing plugged into it. You can use a screw driver or even a coin to short the terminals

Ok I took a closer picture, but I think it may not be the correct plug.

The wire goes to the trunk light.

The connector should be pushed into the brace on the left side-held in by a serrated type pin. If the vehicle had remote keyless entry. It would be at the bottom of the second picture.

Maybe it just doesn't have the keyless entry then. I've checked the left side and all I find were those 3 plugs.

The only grey plug I found was under the hood. It was gray with one white cable.
