can anyone tell me what this part is called?

Hey all, I haven't updated my thread about it yet, but not long ago I rear ended someone. I'm starting to order the parts to repair it myself, but I was wondering if anyone knows what this part is. Its basically a stick that runs from behind the grille emblem down to the bottom of the radiator support, mounted right in the centerline of the car. Near the bottom mine had started to rust and the minor collision was enough to snap right through all that corrosion so I need a new one.

Thanks in advance everyone

Looks like that is the hood latch reinforcement support. Part 8 on the fiche I found at oemparts123.

Of course, I could be mistaken, that's just about 15 minutes of googling and noodling about to see this.

They don't show the part number though. I can't find that, my search fu isn't strong enough to figure out Ford part numbers.

Now that thats taken care of, every broken piece has been ordered and should be here within a week.

that, plus the fact that alot of my housemates are paying me to repair their vehicles means I should be able to finally deal with all of the various body damage on this car

I'll try and get some shots tomorrow in the daylight. overall it wasnt that bad. broke the headlights, header panel and my already trashed bumper, so honestly the losses weren't so bad. my insurance doesnt cover my vehicles, only the other party, so between this and the door/rocker I'm gonna get pretty decent at body work
