Has anybody painted their wheels with the black chrome stuff from the parts stores? I love the look but I don't want chipped crap looking paint job. Pics experience appreciated

Prolly the best thing to do is to look for a place that does chrome and ask to see if they do the Black Chrome also.

Yea I wouldn't suggest spraying them yourself. Not saying you wouldn't do a good job, but for durability reasons (chipping, cracking, bubbling, fading etc) you'd want them professionaly done.
I got my black chrome bullits from AFS Wheels. The finish is powder coated then baked right on then clear coated. Amazing look and very easy to clean. Still look great after 6+ years.

Ok since the subject is the rims here....how the he'll do I get all that built up brake dust dirt and road debris from inside of the rim itself? I've gotten most of it off with a lot of elbow grease and soap, but it kinda lookalike some mold spots or something that I just can't seem to get off? I bought the car used and it's killing my eyes!

Have you tried any degreasers like 409 or Simple Green?

There are candy powder coats now. See through colors over chrome or polished wheels. You can always get a candy black powder coat over chrome wheels. Should be nice.
