black chrome
Has anybody painted their wheels with the black chrome stuff from the parts stores? I love the look but I don't want chipped crap looking paint job. Pics experience appreciated
Yea I wouldn't suggest spraying them yourself. Not saying you wouldn't do a good job, but for durability reasons (chipping, cracking, bubbling, fading etc) you'd want them professionaly done.
I got my black chrome bullits from AFS Wheels. The finish is powder coated then baked right on then clear coated. Amazing look and very easy to clean. Still look great after 6+ years.

Ok since the subject is the rims here....how the he'll do I get all that built up brake dust dirt and road debris from inside of the rim itself? I've gotten most of it off with a lot of elbow grease and soap, but it kinda lookalike some mold spots or something that I just can't seem to get off? I bought the car used and it's killing my eyes!
I was painting my brake calipers and also wanted the rims look shiny from inside to,i used soap, grease cleaner,acids,wd-40,but nothing seemed to work, i got em all clean by using a wire brush and clean water, hope it helps for you
