99 to 04 Mustang GT Manual OSS and Reverse Lamps

On the 99 to 04 Mustang GT there are two wires to the OSS (Output Speed Sensor) on the transmission. There is a Gray with Red stripe and a Green with White stripe. I am doing some testing on my T56 swap for the T3650. Should any of these wires have any voltage when the key is on or does only the OSS provide current when the wheels turn?

For the reverse lamps there are two wires. The power source is the orange wire and the Black with Pink stripe is the output signal to the reverse lamps. When testing I was able to confirm the Orange is providing power. When I jumped the Orange to the Black with Pink stripe the lights did not go on. Is this the correct test or am I missing a step.

For both of the above, I am testing all circuits prior to connecting the plugs and putting the harness back on the new T56.
