FUEL FILTER!!!

WOW what a difference. Old filter was a real mess. Clearly the filter that rolled out from the factory. Could hardly blow through it. Added plenty more bang to the car.

How often are the fuel filters supposed to be changed?
I will be doing this every year from now on.

Cool!

Once a year or every 20-25K sounds good to replace. I've got 13K on the Mach and will probably replace next spring/summer.

Yes I did it myself. Its easy enough to do.
You will need a flat headed screwdriver or a socket set and thats it.
If you slide under the rear bumper and crawl past the fuel tank, on the other side of it is the fuel filter held in a clamp. Use the screwdriver to remove the banding which holds the filter to the clamp, disconect the two clips that hold the hoses to the filter then disconnect the hoses that run from the filter. You can take notice of the way the filter sits in the clamp but no real need as the filter will only go back in the clamp one way.
Clamp the new filter in, reconnect the hoses and your done.
Hardest part was getting to it because I am not a small guy and I didnt jack the car up, so if i can do it then so can everybody else.
Go do it!!!

You will lose a litle fuel, but its only what is in the filter at the time. The tank will not drain if that is your concern.
Still get a little dizzy, small space + gas fumes = dizzy spell.

When do you get the new stang?

Good for you!

Never had a 'new' car. Thi is actually my first car. Rather sad but thats the truth. Thought that if I was going to be in debt for 5 years I might as well enjoy them.

Once a year on fuel filters, think about the job it has to do...you don't want any junk reaching those expensive injectors.
