3.6L to 4.6L engine swap

So I just recently bought a couple cars off a guy for real cheap. The first one is a 1995 mustang LX with a 3.8L that's shot. The other car is a 1996 GT that got t-boned so everything in the Drivetrain is fine but the frame is bent. I'm wanting to throw the 4.6 in the LX body. Any tips on what I all need to do? Am I going to be able to just swap the engine harness/ECM or am going to have to pull the whole body harness? It's just a project car so time spent on it isn't an issue i'd just like to know a bit better about what I've gotten myself into! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

IIRC, a couple people on this forum have done the swap. It should be straightforward - but, with cars anything can happen. Take as many engine/drive train and suspension parts as components as possible. Do some forum/internet searching, get some service manuals, take lots of pictures of where everything in the donor car went, sort and label parts clearly, and have a bunch of good friends/helpers on hand. Best of luck!

Sounds like I have everything I took pics of both cars, labelled all the connectors, and I have a whole crew of guys ready to give me a hand! It's been good so far

Dont forget the ccrm in the fender well. Gts have two speed fan and v6 has one speed. Will always run hot if you forget that. Other than that its a pretty easy swap. Drop kmemebers and swap right in. Wiring is pretty easy as well. There are writeups online how to do it
