xm modulator
Gave up on the Aux input for awhile... switched to an inline (plugs between the antenna and the radio) adaptor. Not bad for 29 dollars - got it at Circuit City. Made by Delphi.
It requires no power either.
Just thought people should know. Still would like aux input though.

Wired in an Audiovox FM Modulator I pick up at Circuit City for $50. Plugs inline with the antenna for the Shaker. Use it with a DELL Jukebox mp3 player and sounds great. I mounted it under the shaker and used the power from the Power adapter on the top of the dash. I ran the power switch for the Modulator and RCA cables under the center piece and mounted the switch in the center console the RCA cable is about 18 inches so it can rest on my lap or in the cup holder and I can tuck it away when I'm not in the car. The only bad thing is the power from the power adapter is constant so you need to remember to turn the switch off when you get out of the car.
They did have a Sirus. The one I used ONLY works with the xm (with a built in modulator like the roadie 2)
Very similar to http://www.circuitcity.com/ssm/Delphi-XM-S...roductDetail.do
But the power isn't hardwired into it and it's cheaper. It does come with a female power jack that you can wire if you chose.
I am going to wire the power in, but want to pick up a switch since it is constant power.

I tried the sirus first to use with my mp3 player and it wasnt compatible.

I'll tell you my experience with Sirius and an FM modulator... awful. I live in Los Angeles though and there are so many radio stations you really can't find an area on the dial that doesn't have SOME kind of signal.
So there was huge static on every channel I tried. I even tried to use the Audiovox SIRSWB booster thingy...(which I believe they have stopped making probably because it didn't work at all)
In the end, after all the headache and expense and telling myself over and over, "It's just a little static... deal with it" I decided the whole reason I got the darn Sirius radio was for the channels and reception.
Axed my portable Sirius player and got an in-dash Alpine to replace it... now I'm happy... but I should have done the Alpine first.
Just my two cents for what they're worth.
In DC the builtin modulator in the XM Roadie 2 was far from enough. Now with this inline modulator (requiring removal of the radio to install it between the radio itself and the antenna) has enough power to get clear recepetion OVER a full powered local station (106.7) so it does work.
It's not as good as an aux in but more then enough to justify the cost.

By the looks of it the my 05 doesnt have a AUX input for a ipod. I dont think my 2002 did either.
MY poor 2002 saved my butt months ago and could have been a very different story. I was coming home from work on my advance left turn as it went green. My guess is the oncoming chick thought it was the main highway light and kept crusing. 75kph aprox/60mph aprox and nailed me hard. If you picture a square, top right on the angle was the aproxamate area of impact. The car took the hit and saved my azz. Appart from drooling over the new 05s, I was out a ride. So the next step was only natural. lol.
Anyway back to the point. So it doesnt have a AUX input right? Like I said by the looks of it that is the fact, but then a question in my mind is...WHY is there even a button then if a input area wasnt even part of the vehicles audio deck.
I donno. Its krazy. Taking a trip to Philly from Victoria BC Canada. Unless I find something in the next week, it will be a CD stack trip.
I'll try to check back. Im 'forum forgetful' so to be 100% any replies can be certain theyd get to me from my email - orcano1@yahoo.com
Thanks and keep them rimz clean.
