Has anyone successfully removed their Woodview inserts? Did they leave a sticky residue or did they just come right off?

I removed the stereo piece because it got cut with a razor when opening the box. Installed it and ordered a replacement. When the replacement came in... Yanked it off no problem. Made sure to get a good grasp on it without scratching anything, then yank! It is just 3m tape. I'm sure a hot temp in the car helped me though.

So it didn't leave the stereo sticky?

No sticky left behind. Who knows if that would change if it was removed after a year or two vs. three weeks?

I just wanted to revisit this question. I may really need to remove some parts of my Woodview pieces. Has anyone remove them after they had been installed for a long time. Was there a residue left from the 3M tape and what would be best to clean it?

Did you use the adhesion promoter, or just stick them on?

It is just stuck on. I got an early kit before they were sent with the adhesion promoter.

Then I would think that they should just peal off. If there is any "sticky" left, could probably wipe it down with a rag and alcohol.

Thanks, I just heard from Woodview. They suggested heating with a blowdryer, them wiping with goo-gone and then alcohol.
