Question

Maybe I missed it somewhere in all the PDFs... but Im looking for some how to or general help on laying new
wires in my 06... Im guessing Id need to pull up the carpet a bit, but not real sure where to begin..

I will be installing a new amp, and since I want to place it in the trunk, Im gonna need to run new wire...

Does anyone have any info on this? or tips for me on doing this?

Thanks in advance.

You should just have to pull the front kick panel, door sill piece, and rear seat. That will expose the wire runs Ford uses to route wires. I'm not too sure about once you get to the back seat/trunk area since I have a vert and running wires front-to-back is easy.

I am going to do the same but I havent had the time to look how im going to run the wires just yet. I would bet tho you dont need to remove the carpet (except for trunk and thats not hard)...just the plastic trim parts. Also keep the power wire one one side and the rca's and speaker wire on the other side. Less chance of noise that way...post what you do.

I ran my power down the passenger side (battery is on that side). I ran my signal cables and video cable for backup camera down the center console, under the carpet, then under the back seat. I didn't run anything on the driver side.

It's very easy to remove the kick panel, door sill, and rear seat.

Remember that you want the power cables to run down one side...passengers...and the signal down the drivers. You will not get any noise this way. Also, dont forget that your power can come straight off the battery, remove front passenger tire and run amp line into drivers compartment through the antenna drop. You will have to remove the inner fender to do this. A couple of screws and about ten minutes of your time! Good Luck and have fun!!

Also make absolutely sure that when you run your power cable to the battery, you need to put the fuse as close to the battery terminal as you can (maybe 6 to 8 inches or so). That way if you short the wire in the trunk you don't light your car interior on fire.
