When you have the side windows tinted did you have disable the power windows so they won't go up and down when you close the doors and mess up the tint until its dry? If so did you just pull the fuse? Thanks for any advice.

Have read on here that if your tint shop pluts the tint low enough on the window this is not going to be an issue. Only problem you'll have is with the scratching so I've heard...

The 1/4" or so the window moves when the door is closed is not an issue. The
addition of some felt to the inside of the window channel is a MUST to avoid any
scratches. I paid an extra $30 for the felt, but have had no scratches after about
8 weeks.

I got a quote for $155 - when I asked about scratching (as reported by several TMS members) they said 'never heard of scratches on a Mustang...you don't need felt.' - BIG RED FLAG. So I called another shop, $195 - but they ALWAYS put on the felt strip and that is included in the price '...that's the only way we do it...'. Guess were I'm going (when my checkbook recovers a bit), and if I can't find a place cheaper. $195 is A LOT for tint when the material costs about $25

Back on topic - I think the 1/2 inch it jogs doesnt get the tinted area into the rollers, so I don't think you have to worry about the windows doing the jig.

No felt here and no scratches Seems like it is a 50/50 split of people who get scratches.

only 2 weeks but tint place told me they guarantee it not to scratch or they will redo the tint and install felt free, so I could not see spending anymore money besides there is felt there from the factory just not the greatest.

The shop that did mine did not disable it. They just left a real small gap in the tint up at the top of the window. So, no scratching. It looks good too... of course my tint isn't all that dark so it's not much of a contrast.
