White Faced Gauges
Sorry, no suggestions for finding white gauge faces in metric. Yes, in certains lighting conditions the numbers show as white, which isn't much of a contrast to the aluminum color. Might be worse with the white faces.
Easy fix for contrast. I was just out driving in lighting that made the numbers a little hard to read. I don't know why this didn't occur to me sooner. I've had the gauge faces in there for about six months.
Anyway, I turned on the parking lights and turned the dimmer control way down. So the numbers show up dark, almost black. Mucho contrast. Works well.

I saw an earlyer posr reguarding the shift light? where is it and what rpm does it come on. i think the latest i ever shifted was at 6500 in first gearand all i saw was the traction lights coming on due to wheel spin.
I've got the USSpeedo silver face gauges in mine, they put them in during SEMA this year. I've noticed the same glare sometimes, but just discovered recently that if I turn on the lights (parkign lights + fogs, usually) and have a darker color set in MyColor, I can see the numbers again.
Here's a pic of the gauges, taken inside SEMA, so I had to have the battery cable disconnected, no backlights. I can take more if anyone wants me to.

I really dig the Roush faces, but I wonder if they make them with all 4 gauges in the middle? I've been trying to find the faces from Roush and I wonder if that's why they don't sell them over-counter.
