where to mount the satellite radion antenna?
I have an XM roady 2. For those of you with satellite radio (non-factory), where did you mount the antenna? When I had my F150, I went under the door sill, under the headliner and out through the third brake light. It was unnoticeable. What is the best way for the mustang?

I tried posting this beforem but the system deleted my [rather long] post and I gave up.
I bought the Sirius SIGMA antenna from Nissan [$30 cheaper on the internet <sigh>]. The thing mounts inside the glass right behind the pony on the windshield and you can't see it from the outside. My Sirius Starmate Replay is mounted on the overhead console and is wired in there and I use the FM transmitter and it works fine, so much so that I hardly ever use my radio directly anymore.

Some pics... I soldered in the power to the overhead lights with an inline fuse holder I got at Radio Shack and used a sheet metal screw and eyelet to attach the ground to the roof steel... All of the antenna wire tucks into a void up there.
And I used the plastic holder from one of those suction cup mounts on the front of the console with the screws that came with it...

My XM antenna is in the same place as Got Oatz and it works just fine. I ran the cords thru the dash and under the carpet/trim pieces all the way to the back, so you can't see the wires inside. I had one placed on the trunk of my last car, but decided I didn't want to see it on my Mustang.

I tried mine in the back window and had some fade out problems. Moved it to the far right hand corner of the dash and reception is perfect. It helps also by being next to your FM/AM antenna if you are using the FM modulator.

It's there. Really.
Hid mine underneath the rear package tray in the exact center and as far back at the base of the window as possible (almost under the Carlite decal). The ribbed indent running front to back in the center of package tray shelf is about 2-1/2" wide and 1/2" deep: just large enough to accomodate a Terk SIR3 Mini Sirius antenna. The install is totally stealth. I like it. Reception is great.
The last two pics are from GeoStang (at AFM) who helped with my install and were taken during his install-in-progress.

Hidden Antennas
Well, thanks for GTEUPP, I moved my XM antenna from on top of the package tray to under it. Just like his pictures, there is plenty of room for both my XM antenna and the nav antenna. A fantastic side benefit was my XM reception increased dramatically (I didn't think it was bad before). I now have no dropouts in the usual locations. Also, the stealth look is very cool. I would recommend this to anyone. It's very easy. Here's how:
Pull the bottom cushion of the rear seat out by releasing the two clips under the front lip
Remove the 3 push pins that hold each side of the rear trim (6 total). The trim piece then pulls out.
Remove 4 more push pins (I broke these, be careful. Easy replacement at the dealer.)
Slide the package tray cover out.
Set the antennas on the tray. They are held in place by the magnets.
Reverse order and all pops back into place.
Thank you for posting the pics GTEUPP.
