anyone added their own center console trunk switch??

im trying to do my own, just want a different button than the one AM offers. if anyone has the instructions from the one AM sells thatd be lovely as well

It should be a simple splice-in to/cut the current trunk button wires, connect new wires and run new wires to the location you want.
Did this for my O/D button.

the only way into the trunk on 05-09 is the key or the button on the key chain

the problem is that on the year models that he has there is no trunk button except on the key fob.

That's weird, the previous gen has it , but then newer one doesn't.

Anyways, sorry about that, here what I found, guess you have to splice into the white with pink stripe wire. its from a guys comment on the SHR button kit. Info is towards the bottom..

So if I wanted to put my switch in the center console id have to run my wires all the way to the passenger kick panel compartment??

i found what i need googling, now i just need to find a cool momentary on switch to wire up.

Shoot. Ill try to remember haha. I'm supposed to pick it up tomorrow from having the trunk shaved and painted gloss black between the taillights.

2010+ ones have them next to the shifter where the traction control and hazard light buttons are.

SilverHorse racing has a button, Its a very simple splice in install, instructions on their site...I need to order a few of them, the keyfob thing is irritating when dropping the kids off at school with a trunk full of bookbags

I bought a spare pair of blue fobs from ebay for 12 dollars.

dunno if you saw i edited the post and added shrs instruction link- they splice under the door sill trim, might be easier than trying to nget at the sjb plug/wires...
