Hopefully this is in the right area. I just had my windows tinted and when they were rolled up they had tons of scratch marks from sand and dirt being stuck in the felt. Luckily the tint shop retinted them again for me but how do I prevent this from happening again?

Thanks for any help in advance.

Felt? Did you or the tinter install the felt? Mustangs don't come with felt on the inner seals. Otherwise, clean the felt and don't drive in sand storms with your windows down!

Maybe that is the problem. I thought it had felt. I guess not. Will installing felt help?

YES ! - The guy that did my tint said he wouldn't do an 05 Mustang any other way (he added a felt strip) after he looked at his first one. FWIW.
