Sub & amp help
Hey guys now I need help with an amp...
I have 2 kenwood 12" subs which I want to install in my 2006 mustang gt, but don't know which amp to go with?
By the way this is the model of the subs
Kenwood kfc-w3012
Any advice will be appreciated!

It just depends on what you are looking for. I have 2 mtx thunder 7500's in my trunk. They are rated at 400 watts rms each so I have them wired so their impedance comes out to 2 ohms. For my amp I'm running an Alpine MRD-M1005 which puts out 1000 watts rms at 2 ohms and 700 watts rms at 4 ohms. If you want to keep it a kenwood only setup I'd go with the KAC-9105D. That sells for 299 on crutchfield.com so I assume you can find a better price if you shop around.
It's better to get an amp that has more output than what your subs are rated because you can always turn the gain down on the amp. DO NOT underpower your subs however. That distortion being sent to your subs causes catastrophic failure and next thing you know.... you need new subs.

Looks great. Now that I have seen a couple setups like this its got me wanting to move my setup around. I have my amps mounted where the subs are and one 12 mounted on the side. Looks a little off with the size of my box.
