Hi,

This is my first post

I have a quick question. I have an amp and a sub box in my 01 (I am illiterate when it comes to audio, lol). Is it possible to connect an amp to the shaker 500 deck? I dont want to remove it because it looks good in the dash, and i dont want to mess up the look of my 05.

thanks

Welcome to the forum and yes, as far as I know, you can hook up an amp to the 500 deck.

thanks for the response..,

Is there an adapter of some kind? I havent had a chance to look at an actual 500 deck, but on all other fords i have seen, they dont have regular audio out ports.

Since the Shaker 500 is still a factory stereo, you will need the rca adapter that converts the rca jacks on your amp into the wired factory cord that the Shaker can recognize. This piece is only like $20 and you can get at any audio place.
