I had a problem with the bezel looking bulbous because of the overlay. . . i intended to return it because of this but various problems including a car accident ate away much of my free time.

 

I've always had it on my own car like that, just used a bit more tape to move the bezel in relation to the console. We did machine one custom once with a lower profile, but it didn't end up making enough of a difference to matter.

I always thought it looked good, but that's just my opinion, take it for what it's (not) worth

 

dont get me wrong. . . the piece, like the a/c ***** which i love so much, is a quality product for sure. i have since removed said overlay and the ultimate fate of my center console arangement is still undetermined, though i will say that the black anodized looks sriking on the plain black console. perhaps chrome would look better with the overlay, i think i saw one with it maybe in this thread
