It won't cost much more than buying a good quality desktop. How much will it cost to build your own machine?
Here's my components...
Mac Mini 1.5ghz Intel Core solo
Liliput 629gl 7" touchscreen
Carnetix P1900 with MacPac
BU-353 GPS antenna
CCD Rear View camera
wireless keyboard w/trackball
Windows XP Pro OS
Centrafuse front end or StreetDeck
I'm also going with a 4 channel amp and replacing all the speakers (I exlcuded this from the budget since I was planning to do this anyway...)
..after some discussion with a friend (who also happens to be a pc technician), I decided to go a slightly diff route...
I've purchased an aux input adapter and will be testing it with my mac. This should allow me to feed all the sounds of my mac through the stock stereo system and speakers. I will be researching a remote location for my screen...preferrably removable. Car burglary is not uncommon around this area, so retaining my stock look has it's advantages...
