I found a pretty good source for an 8-ball **** for my Hurst shifter, and they have a lot of other styles. Here's a link:

I got the large (2-1/4") 8-ball **** and the 3/8-16 insert for the Hurst rod for $16 + $7 shipping. Here are some pics.

Pretty unique. I kept the white ball because of the retro look!

 

I should have this one by the end of the week. Supplier on another forum is no longer taking orders, but had this one in stock. Poor pic quality as it is bright white. I'm not sure if I'll leave the laser cut as is or paint it black.
