Long time listener, first time poster...
I found this diagram on some (unnamed) Mustang forum, and seeing as so many have expressed a desire to enable the Shaker's AUX input, I thought it might be well received here.

Actually this confirms my suspicions that just because it's a diffrerent name, doesn't mean it's a new deck. It's the same ole deck as the Mach 460, the difference is MP3 capability. If you want to enable the AUX just buy an adapter for a 2003-2004 Mach System and you should be all set. OR just buy the part# annotated on J4 and roll your own.

Welcome to the forum CAM.
In regards to some thinking that the shaker 500/1000 are the same head unit I disagree. The shaker 1000 headunit has a few features (such as shaker on/off) to control the extra amps and subs. Then again it could just be a remote signal. Won't know for sure until I see the back of both models I guess

It looks as though J4 is for the switch and the appropiate connections for audio are on J3, including mono for cellphone. I likey!
Great find

Yeah, I'm also looking to throw an XM tuner on this thing (I have the Shaker 1000) and avoid the FM Modulated route that I've gone with on my 2004 F150 with the XM Commander. My CD collection dates back to the 80's and the FM tuner on this thing just isn't cutting it.

I would think the head units for both systems are the same. Other then one has "shaker 500/1000" written on them. As the only thing that differs is the amp and the subs in the trunk.

Any suggestions as to where?
Hey-
Newbie to the board. I can't seem to find the link Zig-Zag posted to the Shaker 500/1000 pinout. I'm installing the PIE FRD04-AUX adapter and I want to make sure where the constant 12-volt power supply lead is.
Could someone please re-post it?
Thanks!
