Sound system

Ok so this is me wanting more an more power as always. If it's not horsepower it's more sound. Oh well.

I have the shaker 1000 in my car now with a pioneer double din p2300 DVD headunit. It's plenty loud but nothing compared to the system in my last mustang (2 alpine type-r's and jl audio components.)

Now I don't necessarily want to blow that much money on a sound system again, so I'm goin for bang-for-my-buck. So far I have...

Infinity reference 6832cf 6x8" (4) -ordered
Mb quart onx4.60 4 channel amp
Pioneer ts-w3002d2 1000w rms 12" sub
Mb quart onx1.1000d 1000w rms @ 1 ohm

This should work for now and keep the door subs and amps? I also plan on dynamating the trunk and both doors.

Is this a decent system and are there any other suggestions? I don't want to go below 1000w rms on the bass.

Have you looked into the Shelby/Kicker upgrade kit? I believe it upgrades the door subs also. Sorry I can't give more input, but it sounds like you know more about sound system installs than me (given my very limited knowledge). But anything is better than the stock speakers, and I've heard good things about Infinity.

Kinda pricey (after all, it has "Shelby" stamped on it), but it is a direct replacement.

I went ahead and ordered the mb quart 4.80 for the infinity reference speakers, and I have done some more research and settled on 2 infinity reference 12s @ 300w rms a piece. According to their sensitivity rating (97 vs the pioneer's 90) they should make more sound pressure than the single 1000w sub.

I also have a question about the shleby system. Could I order the door subs separate?

Click on the Shelbystore link that I posted, and I believe they're there separately for $150/pair.
