I already have my equipment but am losing sleep over where to install the antenna when I get the car. Anyone have any pics or ideas?

A Friend of mine who has XM on his 1999 Mustang placed the XM antenna on the rear dashboard inside the car under the rear window. Works flawlessly.

took my pony in today for her upgrades, we're actually gonna try mounting it under the spoiler and running the wires out the middle brake lamp, for a stealth install. If not, trunk lid, we stayed away from the roof mount because of future work we'll do up there.

I have XM. Put the antenna inside the rear window by the seats. No problems with reception at all.

Are you all using FM modulators? I am still trying to figure out what the inputs for the "AUX" feature look like.

BTW, I currently have the antenna on the rear package shelf in one car and on the dashboard of the other, and both work fine.

This is unconfirmed but, someone in our Mustang club has said his antenna is under the hood. If he is at our Wednesday meeting I'll get more info.

just got off with the installer, they couldn't do stealth under the spoiler so it'll be rear deck like steve. Apparantly ken's package shelf install works for XM but not Sirius.

Is the rear deck lid still composite (read as, plastic) like it was on the 99-04s?

I read that it was aluminum like the hood rather than the composite.
