We should all get together at a dreary, windswept service station sometime....drink bad coffee, eat a mouldy danish...go home again...

You should post some stuff in our forums again www.fmce2005.com.

Would be nice to catch up soon.

But now: back to topic!

+1 on the MGW. Only complaint I've had about it so far is that over the past 9 months of operation and many road course track days, the rubber bushing connecting the two pieces of the shifter broke, causing the shifter to bob around in the hole under throttle. I was able to re-attach the bushing and secure it in under 2 hours, car drives like the shifter is brand-new again.
I might go to a Roush shifter for the one-piece design in the future, but I'll certainly miss the solid 2-3 action of the MGW if I do that.

I don't think you'll have any issue with the MGW, though. I beat the car pretty hard on the track.

We'll see how I get on with the Hurst unit first... For the amount of driving I'll be doing in the car it should be adequate...

Update: MGW is shipping new shifters with a new compound rubber sleeve for the rod, seems that they have experienced the same problem I have and are attributing it to heat cycling of the rubber + hard track use.
New units should be shipping w/ these updated sleeves.
Side note: Glad to see that the guys at MGW beat on their cars as much as I do!
