Shaker 1000 lights inop

My Shaker unit lights dont' work, It's been replaced twice. Anyone know about this?

If I remember correctly, the dealer has to download the info from the original unit for the replacement unit or the lights wouldnt work. I could be wrong though.

There is also a wire that controls illumination. You could have a bad wire/blown fuse. If it IS the fuse, then chances are thatthe wire is shorted to something. Tell your dealer to trace it and replace the harness, or at least fix that wire.

Another thought, pull your radio out and check to make sure the 2-pin plug is connected- it's the one that controls illumination (14-16 PIN I think).

Doc is correct - pay close attention to the Action part of the TSB.

It's pretty bad when I have to tell the dealer how to work on my car!! Maybe time to switch dealerships
