Here's something I've been playing with. Sorry for the bad picture, but you get the idea.

I got them here:
http://www.acromann.com/index.php?cPath=318_375

As you can see they're expensive. Took about a month to arrive too. They're 2.2", so they don't cover the top of the Saleen badge completely. You can order them larger, but they're even more expensive. The first one I applied had a bunch of air bubbles I had to pop with a needle. It still doesn't look smooth on close inspection.

Thank you for that link! I've been needing something for my center caps. I wonder how much custom ones will be. Guess I'll have to measure the center caps and email him.

I bought the Saleen update kit for $14.99, Then I bought the vinyl overlays from Toxic Graphics, Just explain when you order them what you want, They were very good about communicating with me to ensure I got exactly what I wanted. I have posted links to both products.

Toxic Graphics: http://www.toxicgrafix.com/product_i...097611cecdcff7

Saleen Part: http://www.saleen.com/SC101_Services...howCatalog.php, If this link does'nt work just go to saleen.com click on parts and gear
and search for "Saleen S281 Steering Wheel Emblem" or part #10-9100-B15616, You may need to omit the dashes.

Good Luck & post pictures if you go this route.

Larmo,

Thanks for the heads up, I tried 2 different ways to post a link to the part with no luck,
perhaps it's a Saleen thing? Who knows but the part is there if you search for it.

Hey, I'm new to the site but not to Mustangs. I've been reading this thread and thought I'd pass on another option. Try going to Makeitdigital.com, below is the link.

http://www.makingitdigital.net/store...6*jl5bk8&xm=on

These come in a set of 4 and they have tons of options. What some of us have done is cut away the fins that are behind the old emblem so they are a little more flush. The size needed is 2 3/8.

Were those installed with, or without the Saleen center piece?

Without. The center cap was removed and the fins that were behind the emblem were cut away.

Sorry to go off topic, but ...

pegasusphototx: where did you get those red/chrome 281 emblems?

If anybody else knows, please reply as well.
Thanks!

I wish Ford would have made a script California Special center cap for the steering wheel.
