Does anybody have any good advice for running a power line for an amp from the trunk to the engine in an 05? I've searched around and found one thread that says go through the firewall where your antennae goes through. You have to take off the passenger wheel. Does anybody have any opinions or advise there? I have also read to run your power line and rca's away from each other. I'm thinking of running power down the passenger side somewhere and the rca's down the middle. Power is 8 gauge. Anybody find a good place to run? Under carpet? Take out passenger seat? Under panels? Do they just pop off? Any advice would help me out. Obviously this is my first attempt at this.

Thanks.

PS I have a kit already. (power line, fuse, rcas)

i ran a 4guage wire on my 02 vert all the way, went under the rear seat and under the passenger door sill panel, then behind the kick panel, on my 02 auto there was a rubber grommet in the firewall, look for something of that, then fish a coat hanger (unfolded) down thru there and see where it comes out

Yes, the easiest way to run the power wire is to take off the passenger tire and wheel well lining and run the power cable through there. On the inside, you can run it under the door sill panel (lots of room), then under the back seat into the trunk. For the RCA's, I ran them down under the driver side door sill.

The panels just pop off and pop back on.

I ran #1 gage wire through the drivers side ,I put it through one of the grumets. Take the drivers side wheel off, then remove the fender wheel well, turn the screws just a little and they release. then you will be able to put your wire through the grumet. for the RCA's I ran them down under the console and to the side of the back seat.Either way should work just fine.

Can you run 0 guage? I might have 3 amps running and would like one power wire to split up in the trunk.

Even with that many amps 1 gauge will be sufficent. Have fun with your install, it's not hard at all.
