retro fitting shaker 1000 system anyone done it?

Hi everyone,

Has anyone converted over to shaker 500 to a 1000, i purchased on ebay the head unit and rear box with four amps??? dont know what the other two amps are for. i thought the wiring from the head unit to the amps would be in the back but didn't see it in the trunk. was going to pull out the radio Tomorrow to see if the cable is there. Any help or advice would be great. It came with a cable it fits into the amps the side that goes into the radio is cut off and missing. thanks Saverio

The cars that have the S1000 audio system have a different wiring harness installed. The S500 and sirrus sat systems use the same harness as do the nav systems. Changing the whole harness would be very difficult. you would do better at this point getting the wiring schematics and building your own harness to hook it up. Good luck getting the radio to work with your car, they have to be programmed to link into the data network in your car.

It takes all 4 of those amps. Each is wired to a voicecoil on the subs.

i plugged in the new radioand it came up with cd error. it sounded like the cds are in there and they got jolted durring shipping. i found out i have the plug in the back of the radio for the subs so i plan on running the wires fromback to the front and try to tap them in those leads.

Infinaty i have the same car except different 18"mags i put the color match louvers and bottom vents
