I found the thread with a lot of pictures of the ring removal and re-installation, but it didn't show the center trim section coming off the dash. Can I pry that center section with the two vents off like the one on the driver's side that also has the tach/speedo trim?

 

from what i have read, you need to remove the gauge cluster and the airbag first before you can remove the center vent section. there are bolts holding down the center section on either side. let me see if i can find some info.

Otherwise that thread would have shown that section coming off. Also, there were some Ford worksheets posted that didn't show that section just popping out.

I think I can work around it.
