Rearview Mirror

I *highly* recommend using two "add-a-circuit" fuse box taps from Kragen (or some other auto parts store) for your switched and constant power wires. They tap in to your fuse block in the passenger kick panel.
Run a search for mirrors, I took a bunch of pics and posted them here, including which fuse #'s to tap in to and where to mount the sensor.
It sounds like a hassle but it really isn't that bad at all... I spent more time trying to get the OLD mirror off the car then running wires. It's a great mod!

Thanks Art
Do you have an idea or remember how much the mirror cost. I have to do a serch on ebay later. Did i hear you right the fuse box is on the passenger side. I haven't checked yet
thanks again Saverio

Hi Saverio:
I got my mirror/temp/homelink from here:
http://www.sportsimportsltd.com/hocoteaudilc.html
It's a company called Sports Imports LTD. I got part Part #50-GENK50 $349.00.
A bit more expensive than back in November 2005 when I bought the mirror (I paid $329). They shipped right away and I had no problems with this vendor. I even bought another mirror off them later on as a gift and it arrived on time and in perfect condition.
Yes, the fuse panel is in the passenger kick panel, it's easily accessible to install the fuse taps.
Good luck! I hope this helps. Have a good one!

Do a search on ebay for gentex mirrors. Most of the sellers have storefronts, and some at really good deals.
Also, you can buy one off another vehicle, and install it, assuming it comes with the temp sensor (or, you can always buy the temp sensor after).
I installed a new Homelink dimming mirror (no compass/no temp)in my 05. But, in my 00, I installed a simple dimming mirror only (no compass/no temp/no homelink) from a 2000 Blazer, and it worked perfectly. Just make sure it comes with the harness.
