radio removal
If I recal you need to remove the center console. Then the section underneath the steering wheel and a few connections inside the glove box before you can remove the trim plate that covers the bolts for the radio.

And have fun disconnecting the climate control harnesses to get the panel off to get to the screws holding the stereo in
John, just because you're a mod now doesn't mean you can be a ***** :P

I need to clarify one thing,I don't need to remove the radio,I just need to get at the back of the power point so I can tap into the wiring for the switch panel I built that goes in the blank panel for the message panel.I guess I only need to remove the trim panel around the radio. In a nut shell, remove console cover, then the vertical trim pieces on both sides of the radio then remove the screws holding the plate that covers the radio face plate.Do the wiring changes and reverse the procedure. Is there any way to get the connector ogg the back of the power point without removing all that stuff.Would it be easier to route the wiring going to the console power point up to the blank message center panel and leave the console and dash alone. Thanks for all the pictures and instructions,I believe I can complete what I want to do with what you sent.
Here is a picture or two of what I am trying to install that I need power for.I am going to use one switch to turn fogs on/off through a relay and the second switch to release the trunk lid.It looks like there is +12 volt and ground wire at the power point that I would like to use.
What about the parts John mentioned?
Got the dash apart and moved the power leads over to my new switches from the power point and got every thing back together without breaking anything.Ran the wiring to open the trunk and turn the fog lights on/off and it all works great.Came out really good if I say so myself. Thanks for the help.
