Racecar interior progress
Visited TPS this morning and took lots of pics of car including these of the interior. The door panels were originally tan. New black/red were chosen to match 2 tone exterior. Nothing fancy about the inside with the a/c and whole sound system removed. As far as comfort....well only need to put up with the rather spartan interior a few seconds...lol

Steve, I love this and want to hear more about it! Where are you going to race? Is the cage custom built or from a kit? Welded in or bolted in? I've never done any road racing but would love to get a car like this to have fun with at a track!

Oops. Ok, after searching some of your other posts I see that this cage is for drag racing and not road racing. Still curious about the cage though. Give me some more details when you get a chance.

Hey Keith
Yes...car is built only for the 1/4 mile, has a spooled rearend and launches off a transbrake. It would definitely get to the first curve (road course) before anybody else and then promptly exit the track into the field. Car resists making turns to the utmost.
The 10 point NHRA certified cage, actually started off as a 6 point roll bar, when car approached the 11.5 ET mark. Upgraded to the 10 point which is a requirement for 9.999 or 135+ mph. It's good up to 8.50 ET. We are estimating 9.2-9.3 ETs, with present motor/turbo setup. There are nicer ways of caging, that are less intrusive...notice how bars go through the outer A/C vents. Still A/C and sound systems have been deleted so not much of an issue there.
Had it done locally by a hardcore dragster racer/welder. The focus was on passing NHRA inspection more than neat and tidy.
