Factory Mustang lighted sill plates?

Does anyone know if they will work in a 2006. I always see 2008+ on ebay but thought that I saw a thread before the crash with someone putting them in an early model year.

Go to fordshowparts.com and check what they have to offer. You can personalize the plate. The scuff plates will work on a 2005.

I've seen those, I just don't know what I'd put on them. They are still in the running but I still am curious to if the OEM ones will work.

I just got these from Blue Oval Industries... they will work for all 05-09s. I actually ordered them Thursday morning, they were shipped the same day and I received them Friday. I hope to install them either tomorrow or next weekend.

They are not that hard to install. Depending on what oem you purchase you may have to install a different color led to change the color of the illumination. We have a thread that was posted how to install them.

Yup I don't see why not , I have a 2007 and ordered a set they come with white led light, so I put in a blue one wired it up and shizam works fine. Someone had it posted as to how to and what wire to tap into.

I just got mine delivered this week. I ended up getting them from Blue Oval Industries. Now I just need to replace the led's. What size of led's does it take to replace the white ones? Any tips for replacing the led's?

Yeah that wrtie up on how to change them must have been lost in the crash a while back. I searched everywhere and couldn't find it on here.

i made my own ...it's simple to do ..1/16 lexan cut to fit the alum. sill..i got mine from lowes, it was in the scrap pile by where they cut it ..i asked if i could have it ,then asked to have them cut it to size ..i was to going to pay for it but he said no charge ..go to your local decal maker and have him cut vinyl to fit the lexan ..have him do it in reverse cut ..you want to have the lites shining thru the letters ..measure the lenght of the letters so you know how many inches of light you need ...go to your local auto parts store and look at the flat strip lights.. i got blue lights ,2 packages , 1 long strip and 1 short strip ..remove the alum. sill then cut the plastic below it leaving about 1/4 edge to glue the lexan in place to ..take the cut out sill to the car and draw a square with a marker so you know where to stick the lights on the car..i used contact cement glue the lexan to the cut sill...my lights are hooked to a switch so when the doors are up at shows i can turn them on ....

I used 5mm 12volt blue LEDS for mine... just cut somewhere between the LED bulb and where the LED wires are connected to the larger gauge wire that is routed behind the dash. Then just connect the new LED bulb w/ wires to the existing... I soldered all of my connections.

Well I got mine all hooked up and they work great. Only thing now is I'm kinda worried if they are shutting off when the door is closed. I'm only wondering because I put them in Sunday, and today I went to move the car out of the garage to clean it and it struggled to start. Then I go to put it away a little while ago and it was dead and had to be jump started. Anyone know if i can get to the door sensor to make it think the door is shut to check them out?

On the plus side thought they did turn out great. I got a picture of the finished product I will post with other pictures of the car soon.

try looking at night while inside the car its the first thing I did. and I gather I got it right because they do work with the door switch.
