Power passenger seat add on?

Is it possible to get the 6 way power passenger seat rails from the factory and mount the stock seat on them? Is the wiring pig tail there in the floorboard area?

This would be a really nice upgrade for me if it can be done.

sounds like a great idea. Might be a few good ones in the bone yards by now

Someone has done this and documented the process - do a search for it. I would like to do this sometime down the road as well.

Doh! i didn't realize the thread was recent (missed it the first time around) and forgot about my friend the "search" button.

Anywho, it appears that possibly the two installs were done to earlier models than my 07. One day I'll dig around or remove the passenger seat to see if the pig tail is there, as I don't want to hack into harnesses.

Thanks for the reply.

The problem we ran in to (besides fabricating wiring) was COST.

Those fragging power seats are EXPENSIVE.

I was eager for the retrofit until I found out it was roughly 600 bones in parts.

Suddenly my dreams of a power passenger seat died a lonely death...

When test driving the car the wife didn't want to drive so I didn't sit in the passenger seat. I didn't realize how low it was until I road shotgun the other day. While not whining about it we did buy her a pillow to sit on in the pass. seat. Considering she's like five foot nothing I imagine this would be a good upgrade despite the cost *if* the harness is in place in my 07 (still haven't seen if it is.)

I installed the power passenger seat, and love having it. The track just replaces the old one. I didn't mess with the harness from the car to the seat, but I did have to get a harness for the driver's side of ebay and spliced the wires from the seat to the new pigtail. It really wasn't hard, just time consuming. As long as you know how to read schematics, that is, as the wires from the seat go to different pins than the ones from the car.

I've done a few retrofits including the factory switches for heated seats, Mycolor gauges, factory nav, and this. This one took the most time to do.

Cheers

What about adding power to the drivers seat?

I just bought some power leather seats from ebay and replaced the stock, but it seems there is no power to operate the levers. What do I need to do, anyone?

My guess is you will need to get the wiring harness that pops out from under the carpet. Beyond that, I don't know, as I got my power for my passenger seat from the driver's.

Cheers
