Hi Gang,

I am just taking ownership of my beloved GT, and got struck with something while transferring my stuff from the "other" car... the almost total lack of storage.

The door pockets are only good for very small items, and there are no backseat pockets for CD cases, maps, etc ...

Some will argue that the backseat IS a STORAGE SHELF but has anyone come up with fashionable solutions ?

Thanks !

As for the CD cases, I just took all of my favorite CD's and burned them onto one MP3 cd. As for the total lack of storage space, our other car is a Lincoln LS and the Mustang has more "convenient" storage space than that car. Now we have a useable glove box.

Rear seat delete kit from MMR when it comes available. Will solve all of your back seat troubles. That's my future plans... not just for weight savings, but for the occassion I feel like throwing something back there I won't have to worry about the leather.

How about this?

Looks like it belongs in a minvan, but someone might like it.

I rigged this up in my trunk to carry wipe down towel, absorber, and other various items and NOT have them roll around in the trunk - secured to the frame by bungees and works great. (And still leaves plenty of room in the trunk...)

You can buy a cd case that mounts on the visor. Also, if you have cloth seats and plan to purchase covers, buy ones that have the pocket on the back.

Well, I just ripped my entire Led Zep collection, bought the backseat organizer, the sunvisor organizer and a cell phone holder, that should do it

The backseat organizer does not look bad at all in the black cloth interior either !

Many thanks to all !

I did see a similar back seat organizer at Target yesterday that even caught my eye since I'll have a dark interior. I must have been DAZED AND CONFUSED because I forgot to check the price. Then I had a COMMUNICATIONS BREAKDOWN and forgot what my wife told me to pickup form the store!

Did you name your car BLACK DOG?

Have this guy run along next to your car. Make sure he growls so it sounds like his cart has duel exaust.

I was equally amazed at how little storage space compared with my 99 & 02 GT...but then again, I didn't get my 06 for the storage space. Those things on the door are ridiculous, I can barely get a pen out of there and I was surprised there's no pouch on the passenger seat.

Try finding a good place to put aftermarket stereo equipment and still keep it "stealthy". Not easy at all.
