I bought a power seat base from a wrecker that has a series of plugs in it. I assume that all I need to run the seat itself is 12v to the actuator motors. Anyone know which wires that might be?

My 2005 didn't come with a passenger power seat, so I am planning to run 12v to the area and then tie it in to the (cut) harness that came with the seat base. Help?

Print that out. IF it's right, then Pin 4 on the connector at the seat is hot at all times, bussed/fused connector as shown. Pin 2 is ground. Splice/connect into those and you're good to go. Ostensibly, that's what it's sayin' anyway. It might be best to use a multimeter or something to check the wiring to be sure. One can't ever be too sure, ya ask me, when it comes to angry pixies...

Be aware it's a 30 amp fuse there. If you run it to the seat, I'd advise using 10 gauge wire, direct to battery, and fuse it directly. Although I'm sure you can examine what Ford did for those wires and copy it, you're not using a Ford harness, so best to be safe. I'm sure a 12 gauge or ever 14 gauge might work, but... motors. They use amps.

Ooh, good idea Jim. Just take the power from the driver side? Makes sense... But... just don't use them at once?

I never had an issue in all the years I had this car. My brother has it now, and never a problem. I did put in an inline fuse between the seats, though.
