New Tach Install.
I found that while staging I couldn't see my factory tach because of the crappy location in the dash.
I didn't want to drill unsightly holes in my dash, I don't think the plastic pieces on the front of the panel would support the weight of a tach. So I fabricated a "suction cup" mount from some stuff I had laying around. This way the tach is exactly where I need it to be while at the track but I can just unplug and store it the rest of the time. It's a Sun Super tach (retro look)which may be too old school for a lot of guys but is perfect for an old fart like me, it looks just like the one I had in 1970.
Here's a couple of pics:

From one old fart to another (bet I'm older).....nice job. The one in my car is located in the same place, but not removeable. I remember when the interior of my car looked nice and clean...like yours.....sigh!!!

But the holes are so deep set (deeper than 60's) and dark that it is tough to read the speedo as well - particularly the "5's" (55/65) for setting cruise control.
I'd switch to the light face dials except I haven't found ones specifically for the Bullitt - no crosshairs and I need a 6500 redline.
Nice job!
You just might be older, I am only 62 at the moment. That's old eneough to be a certified "geezer" though.

There are more old farts hanging around here than you might think. Cars are a lot different than they were in the 50's and 60's when I started working on them. I'm glad that the Mustang lends itself to easy modification and repair, but I still hate having a computer run the show.
