Cue ball shifters are very retro, were you guys even alive in the 1960's, hehe? I wish everyone had their ages posted next to their handles here, that way I could cut people some slack once in a while when they post these "back in the day" comments..

Good idea!

I dunno about that!

I was at work the other day and made a comment to a co-worker about somethat that happened my Freshman year of College in 1978. His response to me was a simple "I was two years old"..

Cool. Looking forward to seeing it installed from a few different angles!

Also curious about how it installs since I see that hex set screw in there.. was hoping the **** itself was threaded like the stock ****. Is the set screw in there just to lock it in position after you screw the **** on or is that the primary installation screw (**** not threaded)? Also, can you say anything about how the plasitc pieces are fixed to the aluminum (screwed on or expoxy?)

In "inventory"? Thinking of going in business for yourself there Bill? I can see it now...

***Taco Bills House of Handles!***

I see you bought the both the polished and the satin... I would think that with all the bling in your interior that you would get only the polished.
BTW, I like the shift ****.

Guy's , I got the new shaft for our shifters with the 1.75 mm threads and the MGW composite race ****. I decided to get the new shaft instead of waiting till George made the ***** to fit the 1.25 mm threads. Here's a picture ...

Eh, Im not gonna lie. Im dissapointed in the shift ****. I thought it'd have a tight fit with the boot and not just hang around the shaft. Just looks alittle unfinished, IMO.

New ****

Love the new shift ****!!! MGW shifter makes the 2-3 powershift effortless, but i sometimes did a 1 - 4 shift when i got lazy with the **** and let the centering springs push the handle to the right missing second gear and going into fourth. But with this new **** it vastly improves the shifter "feel". Makes the 1 to 2 and 3 to 4 just a flick of the wrist!!!

Thw MGW website says the **** is threaded for the stock shaft, but I see a set screw in TacoBill's pictures. Is it really threaded or does use the set screw (or is is both)?

Nice job Bill but I still don't like it. I like it better then the other MGW shift balll but.......... I'll take a black 8-ball or white cue ball with the 5 speed graphics first. I also like the new Bullet shift ball thats out. But hey thats why we have choice, so guys like you Bill can get the new shift **** and install it and like it.

It just doesn't look right angled forward IMO, also it looks too much like the **** on the auto in the new GTI.
