Wow, I feel stupid...got the new amp (sorta) working, but now the car won't start. I think at one point I musta tapped the wrong wire. I checked the ignition fuse and reset the fuel switch, the only thing I can think of is the starter relay...unless the car does some weirdness when you disconnect the battery.

Should I try a new starter relay? I'm almost too embarrassed to call the dealer. Thanks.

Maybe you're tapped into the alarm sytem? Do you get nothing, or does the car try to turn over?

What's the car doing?
Do you have strong power? - lights bright?
Does it not turn over, or not even try?
When you turn the key forward, do you hear a clicking, does anything else happen?

Where did you get your power and remote?

I didn't check the lights, but the radio and all the accessories come on...still, I wonder if I ran down the battery just enough when testing. It doesn't try to turn over. I do hear a clicking, nothing else (besides accessories).
When I installed the amp, I tapped into a small aqua/purple wire in the sub amp harness for the remote, which didn't work. I then tapped a light green/purple in the main audio harness, which turned the amp on but not off (+12v constant). Used scotchlocks, didn't cut anything, taped them up good when I took them off.

Start off with a set of jumper cables or battery charger. These cars have had issues with weak batteries. I'd start there. Let us know what you come up with.

I did that, but it turned out to be the clutch safety switch.I can start it by pressing it in by hand, which is silly. Not sure if it (or the pedal arm) got knocked out of place, or if I broke it.
