That looks really cool. How does it sound? I always question these kind of installs, wondering how the bass gets into the listening area, in this case especially with the wall o' amps and rear deck speakers in place. I have to think that there is significant loss of SPL with this kind of setup, but please someone shoot me down.

OKC, that came out great And, you're welcome.

The bass will travel through pretty much anything but battleship plating, it's a fact. But, midbass, say, 50-100hz, tends to get muffled a bit. That's why I prefer to run without rear speakers. That way, you have the holes there for sound pressure to pass through. Or, you could do what I'm working on Pics later in the fall when I have time

looks good. Im loving that HU. Where did you order the metra boor plate? got the model number handy? DO you have any issues with water getting on the sub box if you open the trunk with water on it?

I was thinking of perf-ing the rear seat backs. I noticed they are basically plastic plates with a bunch of funky curves, riddling them with 1" - 2" holes wouldn't be much of a chore. Is that your secret project? heh

I got he METRA Adapter Plate off eBay. METRA 82-5601.
No water on the Sub so far and it rained this weekend
I actually haven't got it all hooked up yet, hence the ALMOST complete clause. Just a couple things I should be able to finish this evening. Wire up the remote-on leads, hook up the main power line, ground the system and readjust the HU a little. The face clips the top of the faceplate when it opens.
On the ground wire, where did anyone else ground theirs too. Any specific bolt or screw that is easily accessible ? I noticed a screw right behind the rear seats, that comes out of the chassis and doesn't look like it serves a purpose other than to secure a wire bundle. That should be a ground right? I guess I will meter it tonight as well, just to ensure it is indeed grounded.

i had the same issue with the top of the HU clipping the top, just a slight modification to the mounting and i got mine to clear. Right behind your wall in the center of the trunk (between your wall and the back seats) should be a bolt you can ground to. I am using that one now.

I am almost finished with the amp rack in my stang. I went with the tradictional sub locations (behind the seats facing back) with the amp rack between the subs and the rear of the trunk. Should look decent (being my only attempt at this ever, came out better than i thought), but its definatly not a pro install job. Ill post some pics in a few days. I still need to rerun wiring (current amps are behind the seats, moving to rear of trunk to make room for a hidden nitrous bottle), bolt down the amps and finish carpeting one more panel.

I ran my ground all the way back to the battery. The resistance of the 1/0 wire measured less than the resistance to the frame. This will vary in every vehicle, though.

Well I completed the install tonight.
At first I was not impressed. My shaker sounded better, highs too piercing, lows not there was very upset initially
THEN I found the screen to make adjustments to fade, balance, treble, bass, etc.
HOLY **** this think kicks the Shaker's *** now
Only thing I haven't done yet is fix the brake bypass for the video.

Good. Keep a close sye on the sub-level. SInce you are driving both sets of subs with one output, you may have to futz with the gains on the rear amp to balance everything out. I know that isn't quite the best way, but it will work.

Looks sweet. I love the look of the Infinity sub and grill in the Scosche box. Those door speakers look nice. How does the sub sound? I have the regular Scosche sub in mine (cheapie) powered by a Hifonics Zeus 600watt amp and it hits pretty hard so I figure the Infinity sub would really kick some butt. If mine ever blows I will get the Infinity to replace it.

It all sounds pretty sweet to me. The sub can hit pretty hard if you want it too The grille is actually a Polk Audio Grille, I just liked the way it looked.
I put in Star Wars Episode 3 DVD this weekend and the audio sounds awesome.
