My audio setup (trunk enclosure)

Hey folks,

I got my car back from the shop this weekend after having my sound system upgraded and thought I'd share some (kinda crappy) pics. They built me an enclosure and added 2 JL 13.5" W1 subwoofers and 2 Ample Audio amplifiers (2-channel and 4-channel.) My next plan is to add a Pioneer Avic-D3 head unit and probably upgrade the door speakers from the stock Shaker 500 ones.

Here are the pics:

Let me know what you all think of it. Hopefully it's tasteful enough for everyone!

Kris

Nice. With that much artillery in the trunk, I'd save the money on the door subs. Instead I'd use the money to buy a pair of clean looking non-shaker door trim panels... but that's just me.

Oh that's a thought. What does that look like? Can't say i've been in a non-shaker S197...

Here's mine... - it's much cleaner IMO - I love good sound and a disc changer, but hated the look of the ugly shaker speaker in the grill, so I opted for the base stereo.

That looks great. Now that you have some huge 13.5" subs for the deep bass, I don't think it would hurt upgrading your door subs for some nice 70-100Hz punch.

Awesome! Very clean indeed does it hit real hard and do you have a fair amount of vibration going on the rear seats? I would think whoever is in the back could get a significant massage hehe. I really dig it this is one of the first sub setups for the new stang I've seen that I would consider. I always wanted to build a custom box that looked gorgeous!

Glad you guys dig it!

Buck, it hits really hard! The rear seats probably vibrate pretty good, but there is almost no rattle which is nice!

I don't even want to imagine what those big JL's do to that car at full tilt. Actually, I doubt you could even push them to their max. Those are REALLY nice drivers. I love the install. It's also nice to see someone using Ample equipment.

I just installed 1 12in Resonent Engineering SX in the trunk of my car... Powering it with a true old school gem... HIfonics Zeus VII... My neighbors hate me now... I have SLP's and low hitting sub!
