From what I was told the grant piece was supposed to go for around $199. Good luck, I think those wheels look great installed!

Good luck with the Grant one. It was previewed in a magazine piece like 3 years ago, and has yet to actually surface.

IMO, I think the 2010 GT500's steering wheel is the best looking while retaining the airbag.

I think this person is a member here.

A close up shot.

This is going to kill your resale value on your car and most likely cause some electrical issues in your dash, there are some things you just don't mess with IMHO, but it's your ride......

silly question, but serious:

if someone were to remove a airbag from a 1990+ car, could you get in trouble? like if you got pulled over, could they tow your car or something due to being 'unsafe' regarding federal requirements? just curious, as Ive heard horror stories from the 80's of folks getting in federal trouble from removing cats from exhausts...think on those, a owner could do it with a 'test pipe', but a paid installer could get fines/jail for doing so...

didnt the pimp my ride guys get slapped with a huge fine for pulling a airbag and putting a tv there or something stupid like that?

As a reply to ford4v

I think they got in trouble for taking it out period. they may have said they we overing riding a safety feature. as for the cat's, they are part of your emissions system and are required by law for most if not all on road applications. If they come with them, they must always be installed! please feel free to correct this and edumacate my lazy ingnorant behind at any time!!

Wow, expensive! I got the Bullit wheel and I'm more than happy with that. The only downside of the 2010 on a prior mustang is that the audio controls don't work.

Sorry, the money that my wife doesn't spend is going to help pay for my daughter & son's college! Not much left after that.

airbags are an inspectible item in most states. The cars were designed to have supplimental restraint systems in place for safety. Your arguement about older cars isnt valid. They had shock absorbing columns and other things like MORE METAL to help with a crash (even though they still sucked).

Jeopardizing your safety (or others who drive it) when a wife and kids depend on you is just
plain stupid.

Another example of darwinism...

Please no one follow this example. Do not remove your airbags.
You can also open yourself up to civil liability should any passanger become injured in a crash.
If one isnt hooked up will the other work?
