I trust my seat belt much more than I trust an airbag...I was hit in the face with a gen 1 airbag at a low speed collision. Hurt me waaaaay more than it helped, and the emphasis is on HURT!
Obviously not all situations match mine, and I'm sure airbags have saved lives. Still, I wouldn't go calling the safety police because someone wants to remove theirs.

Thank you for your concerns,
Regarding safety i am thinking of getting harnesses, so airbag not as needed.
Regarding looks and looking like a "Ricer" the steering looks very much like the one on the Ford racing FR500C but with a horn.
Just wondering if it is too much work to swap?
Thanks.

Yes, people survived accidents before airbags, but more people survive now. Please don't deny that airbags improve vehicle safety without having facts to back it up. The airbags in our cars are much improved over the first airbags that had significant safety concerns. Wearing a seatbelt minimizes facial impact w/ the airbags and resulting neck injuries. It's a safety system, not a safety device.

I don't know if the airbag light is something a dealer can disable with a scan tool or not , you might check with one to see. Good luck ...

Best of my knowledge you can. They offer kits for the cruise control but I think they look shoddy at best, Grant is supposed to be releasing a nice wheel in the spring that keeps the bag and cruise control but looks much nicer. Installs as easy as disconnecting the battery, pulling the cover/airbag, and a few bolts. You could swap them in and out pretty easily.

I found the wheel but the price is a bit steep at $850. the listing says that there is a core chare that is refunded if you send them back your wheel. kinda like a battery i guess.
